The
National Day of Pakistan was celebrated in Astana on 23
March 2018 with traditional zeal and enthusiasm.
A brief flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Embassy
Residence. Ambassador Abdul Salik Khan hoisted the flag
on the on the tune of the national anthem.
Ambassador Khan remarked that, every year the ‘Pakistan
Day’ reminded us of the need to uphold democratic ideals
and principles that inspired the Muslims of the
Subcontinent to forge unity in their ranks in pursuit of
their cherished dream. He said that Pakistan came into
being through a long democratic struggle and it was
essential to promote the spirit of tolerance and
patience which are the fundamentals of democracy.
Messages of the President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime
Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi were also read out on the
occasion.
The National Day Reception will be held on 29 March 2018
at Rixos President Astana Hotel. |
