Ambassador Abdul Salik Khan presented
credentials as Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of
Pakistan to the Republic of Kazakhstan to H.E. President
Nursultan Nazarbayev on 18 March 2015. The ceremony was
held at the Presidential Palace (Akorda) in Astana.
The Ambassador conveyed warm greetings and good wishes
from H.E. President Mamnoon Hussain and H.E. Prime
Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. He also reiterated the
invitation from our President to President Nazarbayev to
visit Pakistan preferably this year.
President Nazarbayev also extended invitations to the
President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan to visit
Kazakhstan at their convenience. President Nazarbayev in
his brief speech on the occasion underlined that
Kazakhstan is interested in developing political and
economic ties with Islamabad. He added that Pakistan is
Kazakhstan’s active and important partner in the
framework of Conference on Interaction and Confidence
Building Measures in Asia (CICA), Congress of Leaders of
World and Traditional Religions and Astana Economic
Forum.
On conclusion of the ceremony, the Ambassador briefly
intracted with the press at the Presidential Palace (Akorda)
in which he highlighted importance of Kazakhstan in
Central Asia and its significance for Pakistan. |
